Website Insert : When the stars align and the world is right, a band is born out of the dust that makes those other bands you were in feel like a distant memory. When Rick was asked to fill in as lead singer in a classic rock band with some old friends, he found some new ones. A few members were blown away by this guy and called Rick immediately after the gig to talk about forming a country band. Texas Rebellion was born, and they haven't looked back. Riding on the pens of Chuck, Hardy and Matt, this group has found its knack for a Texas-influenced Nashville sound. From the talent-rich area of East Texas, this versatile eight piece group has not forgotten its traditional country roots, but they also aren't afraid to mix it all up in the contemporary blender. Is eight people in a band too many? Texas Rebellion says no because an eight piece band can throw in a few curve balls that those 4 piece guys can't. Pedal steel—check. Fiddle—check. Banjo—check.
